South Africa v England: Taylor & Compton step into breach
In Durban, on the day one of the 1st Test, Nick Compton and James Taylor maintained a well-disciplined, amazing partnership.
At this time, England was in great need as they lost 3 quick wickets and reached 179-4.
Alastair Cook, the captain went up his 1st duck in forty innings and we amazed to see a Joe Root’s performance as he was so confident, dismissed at the 1st delivery by the spinners of the day.
But the other players and not Cook and Root played so well and England was in need of such good thing to happen from their side. It displays that the England have others who can step into and play so stunning.
Taylor, a young player proves himself as a real promising player, recognizes by everybody. His 1st Test cricket was in 2012 but now, he is just twenty-five years old and he is completely in different form and more confident than before.
Even Graeme Smith, the compiler of Test Match Special was appreciating him today for the entire change that he saw in him at the crease.
Taylor played so well, but was miserable that he was out in the days last moments when it was the 3rd wicket of Dale Steyn of the innings.
