Chinese mine owner kills himself as 17 miners remain trapped

With the sudden fall of the mine, 1 person died and 4 miners came off. The left workers managed to bring many other miners to safe place. As we know, the history of China has a long list of accidents.

The Yurong Company’s chairman, Ma Congbo which owned the mine, immersed himself reported by news agency China’s Xinhua.

This incidence occurred a couple of days after the mine fall down in Linyi city in Pingyi County. Moreover, the cause of such fall down is not still clear.

Officials say that water and food had transferred to the workers that trapped in the accident by drilling a hole to access. As per Linyi Mayor Zhang Shuping, in the rescue efforts, there are more than seven hundred emergency officials involved.

According to Xinhua news agency, 7 people have rescued. Gypsum that is a mineral, used while constructing, mined there. This incidence happened after the incident in the Shenzhen‘s southern city, in which one person declared dead and seventy-five people were missing and it assumed that they are no more.

It is one of the serious incidents of industrial accidents which raises a question about safety measures in China.

Associated Press told that nine hundred and thirty-one people died in China last year, in the mine accident. In 2002, about seven thousand miners killed and that was a major fall.
