Chicago Police Shoot Two, Including 55-Year-Old Woman ‘Accidentally’

Chicago Police said that 2 people killed by a police officer during a clash with a quarrelsome subject.

The two people included a fifty-five year old woman whom they declared that she shot by officer accidentally but the department said that it done tragically.

This incident occurred early in the morning on West Erie Street.

According to the statement, after arriving there, confrontation of a quarrelsome subject made to discharge the weapons of officer and wounded 2 people.

The killed, people were identified as a nineteen year old man and Bettie Jones, fifty-five year old woman.

On the evening of Saturday, police announced that the woman was accidentally struck off.

The department showed sympathy to the old woman’s family who was accidentally shot and killed tragically. The police said that the entire matter is still under investigation.

After this case, the new policy formulated by Superintendent Escalante has ensured that the officers will follow standard protocols.

In a statement, Emmanuel said that he had informed to the Independent Police Review Authority to open investigations about each shooting and to share all the proofs with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office.
